Day 1 Johannesburg/Soweto

Arrive in Joburg and prepare for the adventure-filled days to come.
ACCOM: Guesthouse - 1

Day 2 Milwane National Park

Enjoy a guided bike ride through Milwane National Park, keeping an eye out for the abundant wildlife that lives here. Spend the night in traditional Swazi huts called beehives, one of the more unique modes of accommodation on the trip.

Day 3 Hlane National Park

Jump in an express taxi and make tracks to Hlane Royal National Park. Stay in the heart of the bush and go on a game walk to track elephants and rhinos on foot - a very cool experience.

Days 4-5 Kruger National Park

Travel to the South African border and push onwards to the incredible Kruger National Park. Embark on afternoon and morning game drives to spot Africa's remarkable animals, including the iconic Big Five.
ACCOM: Permanent tented camp - 2

Day 6 Maputo

Hop aboard a bus and then a chapa truck to get to Mozambique's attractive capital, Maputo. Check out this city at your own pace, perhaps indulging in its renowned seafood.

Day 7 Inhambane

Travel by bus, ferry and chapa to get to Inhambane, where beachside accommodation makes a welcome and relaxing end to a long journey.

Days 8-9 Vilankulos

Vilankulo, Mozambique's pleasure playground, offers gorgeous coral reefs, sandy beaches and lush islands. Spend a day sailing the archipelago in a dhow - a traditional Arab sailboat.

Day 10 Lake Chicamba

After a long travel day, arrive at Lake Chicamba, where zebras are often seen meandering by the lake.

Day 11 Mutare

Cross the border into Zimbabwe and unwind in the mellow town of Mutare.

Day 12 Masvingo

Catch a kombi to Masvingo, Zimbabwe's oldest colonial settlement. Visit the Great Zimbabwe Ruins, which are thought to be the ruins of a royal palace that dates back to the 11th century.

Days 13-14 Bulawayo/Matobos National Park

Set out in search of black and white rhinos on a 4x4 game drive in Matobos National Park.

Days 15-16 Victoria Falls

Travel on to Zimbabwe's adventure capital, Victoria Falls. With no shortage of activities and outings on offer, perhaps stick around for an extra day after the trip finishes up to try abseiling, canoeing or witness the rumble of the continent's biggest waterfall.
