Arrive in Zimbabwe early and use free time to try the adventure activities on offer such as abseiling or canoeing. In the afternoon, the incredible power of nature will astound on a visit to Victoria Falls.
Travel to Bulawayo and spend time mingling with locals in the busy markets.
Head to the oldest colonial settlement in Zimbabwe, Masvingo, and set off to explore the ancient ruins, thought to have once been a royal palace.
Zebra and eland are often seen meandering by the shimmering Lake Chicamba. Fishing is popular here - but be sure to hire a boat as crocodiles lurk beneath the surface.
Vilankulo, Mozambique's pleasure playground, offers gorgeous coral reefs, sandy beaches and lush islands. Spend a day sailing the archipelago in a dhow - a traditional Arab sailboat.
Camp among coconut groves and enjoy free time snorkelling, diving or simply lazing about on the warm sands of Morrungulo's pristine shores.
Discover the colonial port town of Praia de Tofo. Make camp on a pristine beach, with friendly locals and fresh seafood at hand.
The glamorous city of Maputo has a distinctly European feel. Visit its excellent restaurants before heading out to listen to a local infusion of jazz, house and reggae.
Travel to the South African border and push onwards into the mighty Kruger National Park. Embark on afternoon game drives to spot Africa's iconic Big Five.
Take in awesome views of the Blyde River Canyon on the journey towards the busy streets of Johannesburg. Toast the end of an eye-opening Mozambique getaway tour with a cold bottle of Amstel lager.
