Morocco’s culture is tightly intertwined. A blur of national identity and religion, this country’s history is a diverse tapestry, as varied as the colours woven into each carpet sold on the street. Since ancient times French, Spanish, Islamic, Jewish and ancient Berber dynasties have brought their own ethnic thread to the needlepoint, and have together knitted a vibrantly distinct region of West Africa. Journey into Morocco’s heart through its food, religion, language and culture to better understand this exciting nation and passionate people.

With a bustling old medina, Art-Deco buildings, contemporary art galleries and one of Africa's biggest ports, Casablanca is a city of all ages.
Fes is the most complete medieval city in the Arab world. The most ancient of Morocco's imperial cities, it exists suspended in time.
With a history of mining and agriculture, Midelt is a picturesque town nestled between the High and Middle Atlas mountains with many lovely, sand-coloured buildings.
With the backdrop of the orange-coloured Erg Chebbi sand dunes, the small Saharan village of Merzouga feels like the modern world has left it behind, charmingly so.
Watch the sunrise over the desert from your camel’s back, then head by car to Todra Gorge, a massive trench that towers 250 meters high. It is a beautiful natural wonder of Morocco, best explored by foot. Along the winding roads towards the Dades Valley there is a chance to photograph the amazing scenery, before arriving in the M’goun Valley. Kick off your stay here with a hike through the surrounding Berber villages. If you are lucky, you may be invited into a Berber house for a cup of mint tea, then head back to town for an overnight stay in a traditional Berber house.
Sitting on a hilltop and looking unchanged since the 11th century, Ait Benhaddou is one of Morocco's most treasured, alluring and iconic sites.
Marrakech is a feast for the senses. Be enticed by the alluring scents and brilliant colours of the spice markets, the sounds of the musicians and the perfume of its gardens.
