Tell us about you

I’m a little obsessed by travel! It has been one of the biggest blessings of my life that I have been able to roam widely throughout the world, and it has given me the chance to see firsthand how travelling can give you the perspective to live a better life. After years living overseas in the UK, Turkey and Canada, I returned to Australia sure that I wanted to work in the travel industry so that I could be involved in helping people plan adventures that will become some of the best memories of their lives. I have truly found my niche at Intrepid My Adventure Store.

Favourite travel destination and why:

I love the Middle East for the incredible culture and history. For lovers of the great outdoors, Canada is hard to beat.

Cambodia – it rocked my world. 
 

Best travel memory

Watching a face-off between a pride of lions and a herd of elephants on a clifftop in Kenya. The elephants won of course – they called for back up!  
 

Best travel tips

Don’t be scared to make a fool of yourself by attempting as much of the local language as possible. Try to time your trip to coincide with local festivals for a really authentic glimpse into the culture of the country you are visiting.  
 

Any advice for people considering embarking on the trip of a lifetime

Rather then embarking on the trip of a lifetime, why not embark on a lifetime of trips instead! My other advice is to do it now – who knows what is around the corner - so if you are physically fit enough for the journey, just do it.
 

Which country is next on your list to experience and why

China – Giant Pandas, Kung Foo, the Terracotta Warriors, the Great Wall, rice terraces and the Yangtze  - I need to see this for myself!
