  • Relax on golden beaches in Cancun

Arrive in tropical Cancun. Take in dip in the waters of the Caribbean, kick back on the heavenly white sand or head down town to shop up a storm.
Discover the secrets of the Maya and explore the mysterious ruined city of Chichen Itza with an expert guide. Be awed by the magnificence of El Castillo, the stepped pyramid constructed to show the serpent god Kukulkan 'crawling' down its steps at equinox. Admire the detailed, gruesome carvings and hieroglyphs that adorn the crumbling temples, ball courts and ritual centres, and be amazed by the Maya's level of scientific and astronomical knowledge. In the afternoon, cool off with a refreshing dip in the pool at the hacienda.
Awaken to the sounds of the jungle and take a dip in one of the Yucatan’s most enchanting fresh water underground pools. After lunch, make tracks for the colonial capital of the Yucatan Peninsula, Merida. Be treated to a boat tour of the Celestun Biosphere Reserve, a haven for approximately 300 species of bird. Look out for flocks of pink flamingos, hornbills, as well as crocs, and turtles. Relax on the beach after the cruise, or explore the quaint local fishing village.
Spend some more time exploring Merida and head to an actual working hacienda that makes rope fibre before travelling to Uxmal. Be astounded by the Palace of the Governors, considered by many to be the finest example of classic Mayan Architecture, and the mystical Pyramid of the Magician, which consists of five super-imposed temples.
Journey to Valladolid, the former colonial capital of the Yucatan Peninsula, and stop en route for a refreshing midday swim at a local cenote. Tour the charming city centre of Valladolid, and get a glimpse of its former glory through its fine architecture
Head back to glitz of Cancun where this adventure ends.
