Days 1-2 Kuala Lumpur

Visit the National Monument, National Mosque, Royal Palace and Batu Caves to familiarise yourself with this cosmopolitan city. Multifaceted canals of culture run through Kuala Lumpur’s eclectic food scene, with influences from ethnic Malay, Chinese, Indian and British cuisines. Sample addictively spicy nasi lemak, succulent satay and hokkien mee noodles fresh from the wok.

Days 3-4 Melaka

Take a trishaw tour and discover the history of this ancient city. An international trading hub, Melaka was used by China, India and Europe to trade silk, exotic spices and gold. Jump in on a Nyonya cooking class and discover the delectable fusion of Chinese and Malay flavours. Then consider visiting the Buddhist, Muslim and Christian religious monuments around town or the more specialised Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, originally built for the local Hoklo community.

Day 5 Cameron Highlands
