Day 1 Antananarivo

With cobbled streets, wooden houses and impressive churches, the European-inspired capital of Madagascar, Antananarivo, has a distinctly romantic air.

Days 2-3 Ranomafana National Park/Fianarantsoa

Spot lemurs on a guided walking tour of Ranomafana National Park and look out for the elusive golden bamboo, a type of lemur that is native to this region of Madagascar. Journey onwards to the heritage-rich town of Fianarantsoa.

Days 4-5 Isalo National Park

Embark on an adventure into the contrasting scenery of the Isalo National Park. Spot unusual sandstone formations and enjoy vast open grasslands.

Days 6-7 Ifaty

Check out a sapphire mine to gain insight into traditional mining techniques. Head to the south coast and soak up the beauty of Tulear, paying a visit to a museum full of botanical treasures.

Day 10 Antsirabe

Take in breathtaking mountain scenery on the way to visit Antsirabe's famed thermal springs, gemstone merchants and elegant French architecture. Head out on a rickshaw to explore the quaint streets of this town.

Days 11-12 Andasibe National Park

Travel northbound to Andasibe National Park. Stay at a lodge nestled on the outskirts of the park and set off on guided forest walks to learn about local agriculture and witness forest regeneration in progress.

Days 14-16 Sainte-Marie

Travel by boat to the beautiful Ile Sainte Marie, a tropical, nature-lovers paradise filled with fragrant flowers and lush greenery. Scuba divers will enjoy diving on Sainte Marie, as the underwater sites are some of the best in the Indian Ocean. On the final night, indulge in a group dinner and toast the magnificent Madagascar experience.
