Tell us about you
My first overseas flight was when I was in nappies and I’ve had the travel bug ever since! From trips to the jungles of Borneo, to the fantasy world of Disneyland, Anaheim, I’ve seen a lot and can’t wait to discover more.
Favourite travel destination and why
Germany, from the crazy and alternative art and music scene in Berlin to the 'conservative' stein-drinkers in Bavaria, I love it all! It’s such a contrast between these two cities but both are full of so much history and some of the coolest people I’ve met. Oktoberfest is an experience that everyone should have in their lifetime.
Most recent adventure
Volunteering in an orphanage and children’s hospital in Tam Ky, Vietnam. I was able to meet some great people, including other volunteers and local Vietnamese people who taught me so much about their incredible culture and traditions.
Best travel memory
Dancing the night away at cin Novi Sad, Serbia; Hiking up Mt Sinai, Egypt at 1am to see the sun rise over the stunning scenery; thigh slapping and beer drinking in my traditional Bavarian dirndl at Oktoberfest, Munich; chasing the midnight sun in Olderfjord, Norway
Best travel tips
Learn how to say "cheers" in the local language, it’s a great ice-breaker. Prost! Salute! Mot, hai, ba, yo!
Favourite food experience
Haggis, neeps and tatties in Edinburgh, Scotland. Just don’t think about what’s in it!
Which country is next on your list to experience and why
Beijing to St Petersburg via the Trans Siberian, can’t wait to explore the mysterious landscape, spend a night in a traditional yurt, experience St Petersburg’s brilliant architecture and sample the infamous Mongolian slow-cooked mutton. I think Ulaanbaatar sounds like a bizarre and interesting city!
