Days 1-2 Hanoi
Warm up with a ride through Hanoi’s Old Quarter, visiting the peaceful West Lake area, before exploring the Temple of Literature, Hoa Lo Prison and the 36 streets of the eclectic Old Quarter.

Day 3 Tam Coc
Hit the road to Tam Coc, known as ‘Halong Bay on land’, then take a paddle boat out onto a lake ringed by limestone mountains.

Day 4 Cuc Phuong National Park
Cycle along quiet country roads to Vietnam’s first national park and meet the cheeky residents of the Primate Rescue Centre.

Day 5 Vieng Xai
Cross the border into Laos and pass through the remote landscapes that few people get to see.

Day 6 Sam Neua
Explore a nearby cave system that was once occupied by revolutionary leaders then cycle through challenging yet marvellous scenery.

Days 7-8 Phonsavanh
Continue to explore Laos's fascinating landscapes and visit the cave of Tham Piu. The next day, marvel at the alien landscape of The Plain of Jars, a collection of strange sculptures whose original purpose consistently baffles historians.

Days 9-11 Luang Prabang
Ride through a beautiful pine forest area before passing H'mong villages and small, picturesque lakes. Fall in love with the temple-studded city of Luang Prabang and its nearby waterfalls. Ride to the Pak Ou Caves to witness hundreds of Buddha statues standing serenely by.

Days 12-13 Vang Vieng
Make the incredible descent from Phou Khoun and pedal through rice paddies on the way to the relaxing riverside town of Vang Vieng – a great place to enjoy a quiet drink and soak up the stunning limestone scenery.

Take the back roads to Laos’ s laidback capital, Vientiane.

Day 15 Overnight train
Enjoy a morning exploring Vientiane and see one of the city’s oldest temples. Ride out over the Friendship Bridge into Thailand before jumping on an overnight train to Bangkok.
