Tell us about you

I started travelling early in life as living on a remote farm meant I was always on the move. With a love of people and history, my first adventure was to China – in winter!! The world’s people and their culture being so very different from my own is what keeps me fascinated and travelling.

Favourite travel destination

Italy with its history, food, love and people.

Most recent adventure

India – I’ve been lucky enough to travel through both the north and south of India this year. Watching the world go slowly by as I floated through the Kerala Backwaters was a highlight.

Best travel memory

Ice skating in January on the Summer Palace lake in Beijing, with two little Chinese children egging me on. It made me appreciate that there is never a bad time to travel, just different experiences to be had.

Best travel tip

Eye mask and ear plugs! They help to block out the noise and light on long-haul flights and will help you get a few extra hours sleep.

Favourite food

Mole Chicken..... rich dark chocolate and chilli flavoured sauce, which I first had in Puebla Mexico and now - thanks to a hand written recipe on a napkin - I enjoy at home.
