Day 1 Beijing

Beijing has a long and colourful history and this rapidly modernising city is an amazing whirl of ancient sites, modern buildings, bicycles, people, shops and eateries.

Days 2-3 Qinhuangdao / Great Wall

Snaking over the landscape for 8,851 km, the building of China's Great Wall started in the 5th century BC with the aim of protecting China's northern borders from invading Mongolian hordes.

Day 4 Overnight Boat to South Korea

The Great Wall of China snakes to an end (or begins) in Qinhuangdao, a Chinese port town with nice beaches and fascinating parts of the Wall to admire.

Days 5-6 Buyeo

Buyeo is a laidback Korean town that was once an ancient kingdom. See relics of a regal past and enjoy a taste of the beautiful Korean countryside.

Day 7 Gongju / Magoksa Temple

Gongju, a small, relaxed town that sits on the winding Gumgang River, boasts an impressive fortress, ancient burial grounds and a national park great for hiking.

Day 8 Jeonju

Jeonju has a wonderful reputation for its food, temples and for transporting people back to how Korea used to be at the traditional Hanok Village.

Day 9 Mt Naejang National Park

Mt Naejang means the mountain that possesses unlimited treasures - with intriguing volcanic rocks, leafy trees, waterfalls and great walking trails, it's an apt name for this stunning region.

Days 10-11 Gyeongju

Because of its four World Heritage sites and remarkable heritage, Gyeongju is known as the 'museum without walls' and has a wealth of sites to discover.

Days 12-14 Seoul

Seoul has been inhabited since 18 BC and while it may look like a massive, modern city, there is an ancient heart beating in amongst the neon.
