Born in the UK and raised in Perth, I developed my passion for travel after taking a year out to explore the world. There’s been no turning back since - I’ve always got one eye on my next adventure!
 

Favourite travel destination and why 

I love Indochina, especially Cambodia – I find the region offers such a great mix of cultures and a great contrast of man-made and natural marvels.
 

How many countries have you visited?

I think about 30.

Egypt – staring up at the Pyramids and cruising down the Nile on a felucca were highlights.

Gorilla trekking in Rwanda – coming face-to-face with man’s closest relation was something I will never forget.

Use your common sense, have fun and 'roll with it' - some of the best experiences come from the unexpected.
 

Favourite food experience

Crepe Pad Thai in Bangkok; I’ve never managed to successfully emulate it at home.
 

Advice for people considering embarking on the trip of a lifetime

Work out what your main priorities are and build around them, always allowing for plenty of free time.
 

Which country is next on your list to experience and why

Burma – I can’t wait to experience a country only just starting to open up more to travellers.
