Days 1-2 Naples
Welcome to Italy! Arrive in the beautiful city of Naples and settle in to comfortable accommodation. Perhaps take a stroll by the waterfront, explore the Piazza del Plebiscito or head out for a family meal at a close-by trattoria for a first taste of delicious Neapolitan cuisine. Take a train the next morning to the base of Mt Vesuvius and climb the most famous volcano on earth - don't worry, it's dormant! Then, tour the fascinating preserved city of Herculaneum to learn how people lived here around 2,000 years ago.

Days 3-4 Capri
Spend some time exploring the streets, galleries and ancient sites of Naples, one of Italy's most beautiful cities. Then, head across the glorious Bay of Naples to the island of Capri, a sought-after resort since Roman times. With dramatic coastlines, winding roads, fragrant citrus groves, quaint villages and stylish shops and cafes, Capri is a place of diverse beauty and there are an endless amount of activities for the whole family to enjoy. Be mesmerised by the Blue Grotto, a luminescent cave accessed by row boat, and then enjoy free time to soak up as much of Italian island life as possible.

Days 5-7 Massa Lubrense/Sorrento/Pompeii
Farewell Capri and cross the water once more, but this time to Sorrento. Get to know typical rural Italian life by wandering the olive groves, or relaxing at a nearby beach. Although this is a highlight for everyone, the kids will be especially thrilled by time spent here.
