Days 1-2 Ubud
Bali's largest Hindu town, Ubud, is also its artistic and cultural heart. There’s plenty of free time to browse the many craft shops. Enjoy a night market visit and Balinese cultural performance in the evening, and a guided walk through local villages the next day.

Day 3 Sidemen
Take to the backstreets of Ubud and beyond on a bicycle. Stop and admire some of the intricately carved temples along the way. Afterwards, head to the hills and the peaceful, scenic village of Sidemen, set against the backdrop of Mt Agung, Bali's highest peak. This friendly village is a great place to chill out and meet the locals.

Day 4 Mt Batur
Learn the art of songket weaving at a local workshop before enjoying a traditional bungkus (take-away) lunch. Afterwards, trek into the mountains for wonderful views of Bali’s volcanic landscape.

Days 5-6 Lovina
Rise early and venture out into the cool, eerie darkness to climb Mt Batur. From the summit, take in the spectacular sunrise. For a sea change, head down to the coast for a day of snorkelling among some of Bali's impressive reefs in the Bali Barat National Park. Continue to the beachside fishing village of Lovina - a great base for exploring the north coast of Bali. Take the chance to head out on outrigger boats to view dolphins.

Day 7 Bedugul
Leave the coast behind and visit Seririt Market Discover a hidden waterfall before travelling inland to the picturesque mountain town of Bedugul.

Day 8 Ubud
See how Bali's artistic centre overflows with artisans selling their wares. Take time to trace narrow streets, visit nearby villages or explore on two-wheels. Perhaps check out the eccentric Blanco Renaissance Museum, investigate Ubud's monkey forest or sample the bar scene.

Days 9-10 Tetebatu
Stock up on snacks from food hawkers and travel to Lombok by ferry. Catch a bemo to the peaceful hill retreat of Tetebatu, famed for its great views of the magnificent Mt Rinjani. Visit the local village of Pringgasela, learn about traditional weaving and enjoy a delicious Sasak feast.

Day 11 Mt Rinjani/Senaru
Wake before dawn for great views of sunrise over Mt Rinjani. Take a short cidomo (horse-drawn cart) ride to visit the market and local villages known for their craftwork. Travel onwards to the small village of Senaru and spend the night nestled between Mt Rinjani and the steamy jungles of Lombok.

Days 12-13 Gili Islands
Stretch the legs on a walk to Sindang Gila Waterfall before a boat trip across to gorgeous Gili Air. Laze on isolated beaches, and spot turtles and reef sharks while snorkelling. Once the sun goes down, sit back and enjoy fresh seafood dinners. Before leaving this idyllic tropical paradise, perhaps go island-hopping to nearby Gili Trawangan or Gili Meno.

Days 14-15 Senggigi
Head back to the mainland where a farewell dinner will mark the end of this relaxing Lombok adventure.
