Itinerary

An assault of colours, smells and sounds, chaotic Delhi is a truly fascinating city. Find a quiet corner in India's largest mosque, visit the Sikh temple and meander through the spice bazaars of Old Delhi.
Venture deep into the wilderness of the Bandhavgarh National Park. With luck, glimpse tigers, wild boar, jackals and porcupines.
See beautifully preserved ancient temples featuring erotic carvings of the Kama Sutra.
Stroll through rural areas largely untouched by modern life and explore the crumbling palaces and temples of Orchha that are scattered throughout the countryside. Visit a unique papermaking plant and in the evening, perhaps take in the puja ceremony at Ram Raja Temple.
Visit the breathtaking Taj Mahal of Agra, built by former emperor Shah Jahan in honour of his true love. Then jump in a rickshaw to see the monumental 17th-century Red Fort, Shah Jahan's Agra home.
Relax on an overnight stay in a Karauli palace. Walk around the delightful village and learn about rural Indian life.
Try to spot the elusive Bengal tiger on a jeep safari around Ranthambore National Park.
Visit Jaipur and follow secret passageways in the Amber Fort and see the pink sandstone Hawa Mahal blush at dusk. Choose to shop for gems, pottery and textiles in the colourful bazaars or join the vocal audience at a Bollywood film.
Enjoy free time to see Delhi's sights. Humayun's Tomb boasts exquisite early Mughal architecture and the surrounding garden is an oasis of calm amid the chaos of the city.
