TRIP CHANGES 2013 From the 20th January 2013, the itinerary will no longer be going to Dalhousie, Khajjiar or the Chamba Valley, and will include Haridwar and Rishikesh instead. Tours will now depart on selected Sundays rather than selected Mondays. Please note the departure on the 7th Jan 2013 will remain the same as the 2012 itinerary. Day 1 Delhi

It's big, it's bold, it's busy - and there is nowhere in the world quite like it. Delhi's sights and sounds are sure to engage and intrigue.

Days 2-3 Shimla

Sitting high up in the north-west Himalayas, Shimla is a charming town with houses built into the mountain, lovely heritage buildings and strong cultural traditions.

Day 4 Mandi

With a mountain backdrop and picturesque landscapes, Mandi is a beguilling town with a large number of temples of spiritual importance.

Days 5-7 Dharamshala

Dharamsala, a beautiful and spiritual city set high in the verdant Kangra Valley, is home to many Tibetan exiles, with the Dalai Lama being the most famous.

Day 8 Dalhousie

A former hill station for British troops and bureaucrats, Dalhousie is a tranquil mountain escape with incredible scenery and charming colonial architecture.

Day 9 Khajjiar

Known as the 'Mini Switzerland', Khajjiar is a delightful hill station set on a mountain plateau with a tranquil lake, green meadows and dense pine forests.

Days 10-12 Chamba Valley

Beautiful Chamba, a town nestled in the Chamba Valley, has an ancient history and is a wonderful place to experience life in rural northern India

Days 13-14 Amritsar

With the Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib) shining like a jewel in its centre, Amritsar is a fascinating city sacred to both Sikhs and Hindus.

Day 15 Delhi

Delhi has been an important city in India for well over 2000 years, and its cultural richness and diversity radiates from every corner.
