Itinerary

Travel to India's enigmatic capital city where the adventure begins. Discover the country's largest mosque and a Sikh temple, before taking a walking tour through the intoxicating bazaars and spice markets of Old Delhi.
Visit Jaipur and experience the irresistible charms of the 'Pink City'. Climb to the hilltop Amber Fort before visiting magical Hawa Mahal, or 'Palace of the Winds'. Enjoy some free time to admire the Jaipur's bustling bazaars and perhaps explore the impressive City Palace. End the day with an optional Bollywood blockbuster experience.
Described as a 'teardrop on the face of eternity', the story of the gleaming Taj Mahal is as tragic as it is beautiful. The building's exquisite marble inlay work produces a mesmerising shimmering effect that is truly breathtaking to behold. Visit the enormous Red Fort that looms over the city from high on the banks of the Yamuna River.
Nestled on the banks of the emerald Betwa River, charming Orchha is the perfect spot to learn the art of Indian cooking at a culinary class. Take a tour of the town's temples and palaces, where the superb architecture is a legacy of raja rule.
Tucked away in the remote plains of central India, Khajuraho's temples depict epic battles, Hindu legends and the Kama Sutra on their delicately carved exteriors. In the evening, there is a chance to enjoy a traditional dance performance.
One of India's most sacred cities, Varanasi is awash with temples and shrines. Witness devotions of faith along the banks of the Ganges and experience the magic of a sunset candle flower ceremony.
Haggle with locals in Varanasi's colourful bazaars before a flight back to the capital. Back in Delhi, perhaps unwind in the grounds surrounding Humayun's Tomb or head to bustling Connaught Place for some shopping.
Welcome to the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu. Head to Durbar Square to admire its delightful architecture and observe city life. Step back in time on a tour Bhaktapur, a small feudal city where cobblestone streets wind between temples, courtyards, shrines and wells.
This charming mountain town, surrounded by orange orchards, has views to the north over the foothills towards Tibet and southern views that hint at the River Ganges. Take an afternoon walk to meet locals and admire traditional Newari houses with slate roofs and carved wooden windows.
Serene and picturesque, the lakes of Begnas and Rupa are surrounded by thick forest echoing with birdcalls. Discover peaceful mountain trails, go fishing, explore Begnas Lake by boat and unwind with an Ayurvedic massage. Those feeling a little more energetic may like to unwind with some traditional yoga exercises.
Situated on the shores of Nepal's second-largest lake, Pokhara has a relaxed ambience. Meet local carpet weavers and craftspeople, hike to the World Peace Pagoda or relax in a cafe. Support a great cause by purchasing souvenirs or gifts at the Tibetan refugee camp.
Safari through the tangled jungle of Chitwan National Park. In canoes, glide down a river that is one of the last remaining habitats of gharials - fish-eating crocodiles that have been hunted close to extinction. Gain an insight into local life on a village tour, visit an elephant breeding centre and keep an eye out for rhinos and the elusive Bengal tiger.
Continue to explore the national park before heading back to Kathmandu. Catch up on some last minute shopping or simply kick back and relax in one of Kathmandu’s many teahouses.
