Day 1 Delhi
Get stuck into this action-packed holiday exploring the sights and culinary delights of Delhi.

Day 2 Agra
Enjoy an action-packed day taking in the featured phenomenon that live in Bharaptur Bird Sanctuary and enjoying a tour of the birdlife from the back of a cycle rickshaw. Explore the former glory of Fatehpur Sikri, a 16th century city which was soon left to become a well-preserved ghost town due a lack of local water.

Day 3 Taj Mahal
Head to the banks of the Yamuna River and stand in awe of two of India’s most exquisite architectural sights. Visit the world-famous Taj Mahal, a beautiful tribute to a Moghul Emperor’s beloved wife and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, before heading down the road to marvel at the design masterpiece of Agra Fort. Board an overnight train to Kathgodam to Naini Tal.

Days 4-5 Betalghat
Follow winding mountain roads and breathtaking scenery past the old British hill station of Naini Tal to reach the peaceful village of Betalghat on the banks of the Kosi River. Breathe in the country air and relax in this picturesque setting, getting to know the area better on a series of nature walks.

Days 6-7 Corbett National Park
Travel to India’s first national park, named after the legendary tiger-hunter Jim Corbett who established it. Set off on wildlife safaris accompanied by expert trackers in search of the park’s elusive tigers, wild elephant and perhaps even leopard.

Day 8 Haridwar
Visit the holy town of Haridwar, which translates as ‘the gateway to the Gods’. Cross the sacred Ganges, walk along the banks and discover how Hindus believe bathing in the river can wash sins away. Visit the Har Ki Podi temple and see a traditional aarti ceremony.

Days 9-10 Rishikesh
Let the Ganges lead the way to this holy town and popular yogic retreat which inspired The Beatles’ “White Album”. Camp on the banks of the spiritual river and head into the Himalaya for the chance to walk amongst its towering peaks and take in spectacular views.

Days 11-13 Delhi
Take the train back to the Indian capital, considered the second largest urban area in the world. Embark on guided tours of both sides of Delhi, contrasting the old world charm, bazaar-filled streets and massive Red Fort of the old town with the modern spirit of New Delhi. Perhaps stock up on some last-minute souvenirs before this epic experience comes to an end.
