There are a few longer travel days (up to 4-5 hours), but these give a great chance to soak in the Portuguese scenery and get to know your fellow travellers a little better.
Summer temperatures in the areas visited can be very high (up to 40°C), which can be uncomfortable. It’s important to use sun protection, wear layers to combat the heat and drink plenty of water. Please consider the time of the year you wish to travel and your suitability to that season.

Fantastic tour; especially for those of you that love seafood! The itinerary is a great mix of busy cities and rural stays, and you get a real sense of how big a role food and drink play in this part of the world. So much fun and highly recommended.

Intrepid trips are a fantastic means of travel as they provide a great insight into local culture and especially as a single .... 5 trips now!... still regularly visit a friend from #1 in 2014 and keep in contact with others!
