Be prepared for some long travel days, as Gujarat is a vast state and its incredible destinations are spread out across a large area.
This state is known for its intense heat, so it’s important to carry plenty of water and wear layers to protect you from the sun. Dwarka (on Day 5) is a great opportunity for a refreshing ocean dip.
There's free time in some places, but generally you'll be moving at a fairly quick pace from one location to the next. Remember to relax and unwind when you can.
The overnight train trip from Udaipur to Delhi takes about 12 hours. Delays are quite common on Indian trains – patience is the key to enjoying this true local experience.

One of the best things about Intrepid for me is the ability to travel as a single person within a small group, and to have a group leader to provide information and context to everything we see and do.
