In Hue, one day is spent touring the sights on the back of a motorbike. The bikes are great fun and are driven safely by professionals, but alternative transportation can be arranged upon request for those who don’t wish to ride on a motorbike.
The weather in Vietnam can be hot and sticky, particularly during the monsoon seasons, so ensure that you pack accordingly. Please also wear sunscreen and a hat, especially when out on a boat in Halong Bay and in the Mekong Delta.
This popular trip provides a great overview of some of the highlights of Vietnam with plenty of included activities. If you would like more time to explore each destination, perhaps consider one of our longer trips.

After using three other tour companies, Intrepid has earned our loyalty. Our tour guide in Vietnam was knowledgeable, and educated us on history, and the current social and cultural realism's from an insider’s view. Every step of the trip worked like clockwork and everyone from the tour guide through to the drivers and support staff were outstanding. The tours, locations and cultural information were also outstanding as were the hotels, meals, and little extras thrown in by our excellent, and energetic tour guide. Our local tour guide, Pham Huu Van, was fantastic. Not only did he show us the My Son Cham ruins, but his personal stories about the Vietnam War serving as an interpreter cannot be matched. For the personal experience of meeting Pham Huu Van I want to thank you Intrepid. On to Cambodia and Thailand our tour guide, Boreth, was beyond wonderful. He ensured we were comfortable and went above and beyond to fulfill our requests. He shared his love of history with enthusiasm. We sincerely could not have had a better host to these countries. He went out of his way to share stories, provide surprises, and make us laugh along our tour. Many could not even begin to understand or appreciate the sights, cultures, man-made and artistic marvels, and natural beauties witnessed these last three weeks. I would recommend Intrepid to appreciate all these things.
