Day 1 Reykjavik

Arrive in Reykjavik, the world’s northernmost capital, and be transferred to the hotel. Home to peculiar museums and quirky street art, there’s much to explore in this eclectic city. See how much of it you can take in during your free time.

Day 3 Glacier Lagoon

Stop by the Solheimajokull Glacier and feel the crunch of snow underfoot on a walk across its frozen surface. Pass through quaint villages and desolate lava backdrops to Glacier Lagoon.

Day 4 Hvolsvollur

The largest glacier in the country, Vatnajokull is a sight incredible to behold. Come to terms with the immense ice-strewn landscape of Skaftafell National Park on a guided walk. Admire the natural formations created by the region’s subterranean activity, then see the rocks of Reynisfjara and Dyrholaey on a drive along the region’s barren black sand coast.

Day 5 Reykjavik

Enjoy a free morning soaking up the local scene or perhaps taking in more of the spectacular surrounding landscape on a superjeep tour. Journey back to Reykjavik, stopping off en route for great photo opportunities at the beautiful Seljarlandfoss Waterfall and other sights.

Day 6 Reykjavik

Spend further time getting to know the Icelandic capital, either by checking out its great galleries or embarking on an array of optional excursions – such as whale-watching or horse-riding tours.

Day 7 Reykjavik

Drive along the Reykjanes peninsula, stopping to inspect lava flows and boiling mud pools. The trip ends with the chance of a bizarrely balmy splash in the Blue Lagoon – the perfect treat before your flight back home.
