Day 1 Vienna
Arrive early to absorb the unique vibe of Vienna, a city rich in old-world romance, yet with an undeniable modern edge. Be inspired on a visit to Schonbrunn Palace, check out the Sigmund Freud Museum or grab some tickets to the opera.

Day 2 Petronell-Carnuntum
Jump into the saddle and begin the journey by cycling along the Donauinsel to the ancient site of Petronell-Carnuntum.

Day 3 Halaszi
Carve a path through three countries – Austria, Slovakia and Hungary. Cruise through Bratislava before making tracks through heavily wooded terrain to Halaszi.

Day 4 Gyor
Continue onwards through a lush, provincial landscape before the road switches to gravel all the way to Gyor.

Day 5 Tata
Kick the bike into a low gear while tackling the first hills of the journey. Arrive in Tata and appreciate the town’s beautiful lakeside setting.

Day 6 Esztergom
With the Hungarian capital almost in sight, discover the Danube at Esztergom and conquer several climbs and fast descents. Then, while enjoying some respite from the bike, take the opportunity to explore the stunning Esztergom Basilica.

Days 7-8 Budapest
Continue skirting the Danube to the artisans' hub of Szentendre. Arrive in Budapest and spend time scouring the sights of this enigmatic city. If art and history are of interest, get lost in a multitude of museums, cross the historic Chain Bridge or marvel at communist relics at Statue Park. Then, before heading home, unwind and soothe tired muscles in a traditional thermal bath.
