Sail Greece - Vounaki to Kefallonia SummaryAdd to Shortlist
Begin the adventure in the seaside resort town of Vounaki, set in front of the rugged Arkanika Mountains and spilling over into the Ionian Sea. If arriving early, why not take a hike to nearby cliffside villages, visit a local winery or find a comfy spot on a beach and get into holiday mode. In the late afternoon, sail away to historic Meganisi and throw down the anchor for the first night at sea.
Experience the serenity of life on the water, with sun beating down on upturned faces, as the captain steers the vessel to Ithaki. Enjoy a history lesson in the archaeological museum, tease the toes with a walk along one of the pebbly beaches and, before the sun dips down into the sea, settle in at a waterside restaurant for a sunset drink.
Cast away once again, this time bound for Zakynthos, a nature-lovers haven with its crystal-clear water, heavenly beaches and exotic island interior. Visit the castle ruins behind town for spectacular Mediterranean vistas or spot vibrant marine life frolicking close to shore.
Set sail on the final journey to Kefallonia. Meet friendly sellers in trinket shops on Lithostroto Street, venture out to the beautiful Melissani Cave or take a day trip around the island.
