Days 1-2 Chamonix

Embark on a warm-up walk to Les Praz up. Catch the teleferique to La Flegere (1,900 m) and set off on the 'Grand Balcon' trail, boasting excellent views of the Mont Blanc massif.

Day 3 Col Forclaz

Travel to the Col Montets to begin the ascent to Aiguillette de Posettes (2,201 m). Walk through spectacular mountain scenery before crossing the border from France to Switzerland. Be impressed by views of Aiguille d'Argentiere, the Aiguille du Tour and its glacier.

Day 4 Champex

Enjoy magnificent vistas of the Rhone Valley and the Swiss town of Martigny while taking the 'Bovine route' (2,049 m) through high alpine pastures to the town of Champex (1,468 m), nestled beside a picturesque alpine lake.

Day 5 La Fouly

Wander through the woods, explore picturesque farming villages and spot a variety of wildflowers on the way to Mt Dolent - the meeting point between France, Switzerland and Italy.

Days 6-7 La Palud

Climb to the 'Grand Col Ferret' in Italy and be blown away by the superb mountain panoramas. Roam through the captivating town of Courmayeur - a photographer's dream.

Day 8 Entreves

Revel in sublime views of Mont Blanc, the towering rocky peak 'Grandes Jorasses' and the glaciers, which crowd the northern flank of the Val Ferret while making tracks to Entreves.

Day 9 Les Chapieux

Amble along an old Roman road bound for the 'Col de la Seigne' pass. Descend through La Ville des Glaciers and celebrate the end of a long day's walking in Les Chapieux, a small hamlet inhabited only during the summer months.

Days 10-11 St Gervais

Take on the scenic southwest corner of the Mont Blanc circuit, and enjoy a well-earned day of rest in the gorgeous spa town of St Gervais.

Day 12 Les Houches

With rested legs embark on a steep hike to Col de Tricot followed by a descent to Glacier de Bionnassay and the village of Les Houches.

Days 13-15 Chamonix

Cross the north side of Chamonix Valley, climbing through shady pine forests and witnessing incredible views of Mont Blanc. Descend to Plan Praz then take a scenic cable car to Chamonix. Enjoy a free day of relaxation, gentle walks or some exhilarating activities like paragliding or mountain biking before farewelling this incredible walking adventure.
