Days 1-2 Chamonix

One of the world's best ski resorts, during the summer months Chamonix offers excellent walking trails, mountain biking and spectacular excursions by teleferique and mountain railway.

Day 3 Col Forclaz

The mountain pass at Col Forclaz has superb views directly down into the Rhône valley and the Swiss town of Martigny.

Day 4 Champex

Champex's lovely alpine lake reflects the surrounding mountains, and this attractive Swiss town is a delightful place to explore or simply relax and take in the views.

Day 5 La Fouly

A perfect landscape at any time of the year, picturesque La Fouly is an outdoor enthusiast's dream.

Days 6-7 Courmayeur

Cosily located in Italy's Aosta Valley, Courmayeur is famed for its great skiing, excellent hiking tracks and beautiful scenery.

Day 8 Entreves

A charming hamlet of traditional stone houses, Entreves boasts an astounding location in a beautiful valley at the foot of the massif.

Day 9 Les Chapieux

A remote alpine village only inhabited in summer, Les Chapieux is a lively base for hikers enjoying the Tour du Mont Blanc.

Days 10-11 St Gervais

A popular tourist destination since the early 19th century, St Gervais is the perfect place to relax and sooth aching muscles in a rejuvenating spa.

Day 12 Les Houches

The traditional alpine village of Les Houches is best known for its ski runs but in summer it becomes a paradise for walking, climbing and mountain biking.

Days 13-15 Chamonix

Host of the first Winter Olympics in 1924, Chamonix is a renowned mountaineering centre which attracts adventurers from all over the world to its epic slopes and rock faces.
