Travelling on a felucca is awesome, but it's not for everyone. You will be sharing a sleeping area with your fellow group members for the night and shared bathroom facility on board.
The walk ways around the ruins can be uneven, dusty and rocky, bring comfortable walking shoes. In places like Petra which is a massive sight you can expect to be walking in the elements for most of the day.
Some hotel in Egypt may not have lifts. Please be aware you may need to climb stairs with your luggage to reach your hotel room for the night.
There is a lot of walking around the sights, most with out shade, especially in Petra and Wadi Rum, please bring comfortable shoes and a hat to make the most of your time at the sights.
The weather can be quite extreme, from very hot in summer to cool in winter, please check the weather conditions for when you travel.
The ferry to Aqaba can be rough on occasions and those who suffer from sea sickness may want to prepare themselves. Besides this the ferry is frequently delayed or even cancelled at the last minute, patience is required for this journey. Please see Day 12 of the itinerary for more details.
Accommodation aboard the overnight train is in two-berth cabins which convert to bunk beds. All bedding is provided on board and western-style toilets are located in each carriage. Keep in mind general train cleanliness may not be to the same standards you are accustomed to.

3. Please provide Intrepid or your booking agent with a scanned copy of the personal details page from your passport at time of booking.
4. On Day 8 there is an included internal flight from Cairo to Amman. On day 15 there is an included flight from Amman to Istanbul. The maximum check-in baggage allowance for both flights is 23kgs per person plus 7kgs hand luggage. These flights are unescorted.
