Discover stylish Scandinavia and bohemian Germany on the ultimate urban adventure.
Do as the locals do on this urban adventure reaching from the bohemian quarters of Berlin to the stylish boutiques of Oslo. Explore the cobbled streets of Copenhagen by bike, nibble traditional cinnamon rolls at a Swedish coffee house, and wander through the famous markets of Hamburg.
Berlin has a complex history, witnessing years of division and uncertainty before becoming one of the world's most artistic and exciting cities. See remaining fragments of the famous wall that once divided the city in half
Wander the famous Hamburg Speicherstadt, an inner-city district made up of 19th-century warehouses
Explore Copenhagen like a local and hop on a bike. There is no better way to see the major sites, as well as explore hidden corners of this beautiful city
Don't miss Gothenburg's Haga district, with its picturesque wooden houses and the iconic Skansen Kronan, as well as laid-back Langgatan street
As there are cobblestones in many Scandinavian cities, it's recommended that you leave any wheelie bags or cases at home and bring a backpack instead.
The areas visited on this trip can be very cold at night throughout the year, especially at the start and end of the season. Please bring appropriate clothing for adverse weather conditions, including base layers, hat, gloves, scarf, coat and anything else that you think may be applicable.
As accommodation on this trip is twin share, single travellers will share a room with another traveller of the same gender. This trip is a great opportunity to get to know other like-minded people, so embrace it while you can. However, if you’d prefer not to share, a single room supplement is available at an additional charge (some exceptions may apply). Please ask your travel consultant for more details. Also, hotels in Europe often don't have double beds, but rather two single beds that can be pushed together/apart.
This trip is designed to give you a fair amount of free time so you can explore each destination at your own pace. We will, however, take you on regular orientation walks, so you'll be on your feet quite a lot. While this may be tiring for some, it’s the best way to get your head around a place and to set yourself up for further discoveries.

Great trip to really get a taste of Scandinavia! Fast paced but heaps of free time to explore what interests you the most in each city. Highly recommend !

This was my first trip with Intrepid, and I would absolutely do it again. The tour was exactly as indicated, had an excellent leader and like-minded travelers. I was inspired by the travel adventures of my fellow travelers, and we often decided to continue on as a group, even as we were given an opportunity to go do our own thing. The Taste of Scandinavia destinations gave me a feel for each country - I extended by trip on both ends by starting in Munich and following Oslo with a self-guided Norway in a Nutshell trip that ended in Bergen (I highly recommend that as well.)
