Welcome to Kenya. Explore the sights and sounds of Nairobi, the country's bustling and fast-paced capital.

Day 2 Nakuru National Park

Camp overnight on a dairy farm in Nakuru.

Day 3 Kericho

Embark on a morning game drive through Lake Nakuru National Park before joining an optional tea plantation tour in Kericho.

Days 4-5 Jinja

Cross the border into Uganda, pitch camp near Lake Victoria and prepare for two days of adventuring in Jinja.

Day 6 Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Visit Uganda’s Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, an important organisation that helps to protect this endangered species and integrate them back into the wild. Set out with the company of a local ranger for the chance to observe these impressive beasts up close.

Day 7 Kaniyo Pabidi Forest

Venture into the Budongo Forest for an afternoon trek in search of the country's sole chimpanzee population.

Days 8-9 Murchison Falls National Park

Set off for a game drive into the delta of Murchison Falls National Park – home to elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes and antelopes.

Pitch camp on the shores of stunning Lake Mburo, the stomping ground of more than 68 species of mammal.

Day 12 Lake Bunyonyi

Make tracks to the idyllic natural landscape of Lake Bunyonyi.

Days 13-14 Ruhengeri/Gorilla trek

Cross the border into Rwanda, stopping off to visit Kigali's moving Genocide Memorial. Head into the forest of Ruhengeri for an unforgettable hour spent in the presence of rare mountain gorillas.

Day 15 Kabale

Cross back into Rwanda via Cyanika.

Day 16 Queen Elizabeth National Park

Roll down through the Great Rift Valley to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Hop aboard a boat for a cruise along the Kazinga Channel, renowned for its hippo population.

Enjoy a sleep in or opt for some early morning game spotting.

Day 18 Jinja

Cross back into Kenya and visit Eldoret – a high altitude town that has produced more than its fair share of endurance athletes over the years. For an African experience with a twist, tuck into some Indian cuisine for dinner.

Return to the colourful buzz and bustle of urban Nairobi.

Day 22 Lake Naivasha

Relax on the banks of Lake Naivasha and watch hippos wallowing offshore.

Days 23-24 Lake Nakuru

Watch flocks of pink flamingos descend on the waters of Lake Nakuru and spot solitary rhinos stomping the shore line to the chatter of colobus monkeys in the canopy overhead.

Day 25 Mt Kenya/Naro Moru

Travel through stunning scenery en route to the craggy peaks of Mt Kenya.

Days 26-27 Samburu National Reserve

Witness traditional Samburu dancing and learn about the tribal life and customs of Kenya's nomadic tribes. Try to spot Africa's Big Five in this vast tract of pristine wilderness.

Days 28-29 Marsabit/Moyale

Set out for Dejen, stopping off en route to take in the Blue Nile Gorge.

Hop aboard a traditional reed boat for the ornately adorned monasteries on Lake Tana's islands. Wander through remote villages to the Blue Nile Falls, known locally as Tissisat – the 'water that smokes'.
