Once a simple Bedouin fishing village, Dahab has transformed into a popular tourist town, luring travellers with its excellent diving.
Day 2 Snorkel safari
Awake to sunshine and clear waters. The whole family can head out to sea on a snorkel safari and spend the day exploring the colourful coral and tropical wonders of the Southern Oasis. Just watch the delight in your children’s faces as big fish swim just inches away.
Day 3 Into the desert
A highlight of the trip is a taste of the nomadic lifestyle. Spend the day exploring the dramatic dune landscapes by 4WD, stopping for a lunch at a welcome palm-fringed oasis and walking through the White Canyon before settling around a camp fire. It’s the kids’ job to collect the firewood and assist with making bread as the Bedouins show you their techniques.
Day 4 Bir el safar / Dahab
Delve deeper into the desert on this action-packed day. Travel by 4x4 jeeps to the fresh water spring of Bir el Safar, examining frozen dinosaur rock formations and sand-boarding from the Sinai’s highest dune – Hadoudah – along the way. Watch as everyone races to the top to get back on the boards. End the desert experience with legendary Bedouin hospitality at the home of a local family before heading back to Dahab.
Day 5 Dahab
Dahab's location between the Sinai Desert and Red Sea makes it ideal for all kinds of adventure activities, while Bedouin influences mean it hasn't lost its authenticity.
Day 6 Laguna Beach
Spend the morning relaxing on the beach before setting off to admire the colourful underwater world in all its glory from the comfort of a glass-bottom boat in the afternoon. For families looking for a bit more adventure consider the overnight excursion into the Sinai’s mountain region to visit St Catherine’s Monastery. Climb Mt Sinai for an unforgettable sunrise and tea at the Elias Gardens.
Days 7-8 Dahab
The beautiful Sinai Peninsula boasts a wide array of iconic sights, including Mt Sinai and St Catherine's Monastery, all of which are easily accessible from Dahab.
