Day 1 Quito

Welcome to the beautiful city of Quito. Maybe enjoy some time exploring the Old Town or one of the many fascinating museums.

Day 2 Isla Santa Cruz - Punta Carrion

Take an early morning flight to the Galapagos. Settle into your new home –there’s even a hot tub on board! – and sail to Punta Carrion for some awesome snorkelling and bird-watching.

Day 3 Isla Isabela

Wander the pathway through Las Tintoreras checking out reef sharks, sea lions, boobies and marine iguanas and discover the unique beauty of the island’s lava flow.

Day 4 Isla Floreana

Get a taste of the Galapagos’ history at Post Office Bay. Then after admiring sea lions on olive-green beaches, change up the colour palette to pink – Punta Cormorant is home to a colony of flamingos. A green sea turtle nesting site is next on the agenda before snorkelling in the wildlife-rich waters of Devil’s Crown.

Day 5 Isla Santa Cruz /Charles Darwin Research Centre

Visit the Charles Darwin Research Centre to learn about the history of the islands and the conservation efforts being made. Then spend time with the island’s locals in Puerto Ayora before heading up to Santa Cruz’s highlands and taking a walk through its cloud forest.

Day 6 Santa Fe & South Plaza

Take a swim in the clear waters of Santa Fe, where friendly sea lions may just come say hi. Spend time admiring the birdlife, turtles, iguanas and lava lizards before traipsing through the Opuntia Forest to see giant cacti and the islands’ tallest trees.

Day 7 Espanola

Sail to the beautiful island of Espanola. A massive array of wildlife is waiting to greet you, from bird colonies and marine iguanas to lumbering sea lions. Then snorkel or swim at Gardner Beach – keep an eye out for reef sharks, turtles and angelfish.

Day 8 Isla San Cristobal -Punta Pitt/Kicker Rock

Walk up a volcanic hill for great views of the landscapes of ancient volcanic ash cone. Then cruise through the channel in Kicker Rock, which has an immense amount of sea birds, sea lions and marine iguanas in every nook and cranny. Snorkelling here is an experience not to be missed.

Day 9 San Cristobal - Interpretation Center

Get to know the ins and outs of the history, geography and wildlife of the Galapagos at the fascinating Interpretation Center.

Day 10 Bartolome & Sullivan Bay

Parasitic spatter cones, lava flows and lava lizards… no you’re not in some weird sci-fi movie; this is simply the island of Bartolome. Wander this volcanic landscape to view the imposing Pinnacle Rock and to get up close with the remarkable wildlife.

Day 11 Isla Santiago

Spend the day on the idyllic beaches, fascinating forests and spectacular lava flows of Isla Santiago. Visit Buccaneer Cove, which used to be a hideout for pirates, and encounter marine iguanas, pelicans, finches, mockingbirds and hermit crabs – and even snorkel with sea lions.

Day 12 Santra Cruz

Return to Santa Cruz and if you missed it the first time, head up to the impressive highlands or spend time at the fascinating research station.

Day 13 North Seymour & Mosquera

Get overloaded with animals on the fabulous North Seymour Island – blue footed boobies, frigate birds, iguanas and California sea lions are just some of the wildlife that live here. Explore the island and go snorkelling in the aquamarine waters before sailing to Isla Mosquera.

Day 14 Tortuga Negra & Cerro Dragon

Jump on a panga and head to Caleta Tortuga Negra (Black Turtle Cove) to explore its red mangrove wetland, where turtles birds and Galapagos sharks roam.

Day 15 Sombrero Chino & Rabida

Explore Sombrero Chino, an island that’s shaped like a Chinese hat but is actually a miniature volcano. Wander along trails and learn about the island’s volcanic origins. Then make tracks to Rabida Island, where a red-sand beach and a lagoon full of flamingos await.

Day 16 Bachas Beach - Baltra

Relax on the white-sand beaches of Las Bachas, keeping an eye out for the Pacific green turtles who nest here and snorkelling among the rocks. Say you goodbye to this wildlife-laden paradise and head back to Quito.

You are free to depart anytime today, but perhaps stay on a few extra days to explore this charming city.
