Catch a glimpse of the Galapagos Islands on this adventure tour from Quito

The remote Galapagos Islands are brimming with the sort of wildlife encounters more often associated with fairytales; sea lions clamber up the beaches to come and get a closer look at their human visitors, marine iguanas sun bake on sandy beaches as they prepare to take the plunge into the frigid waters, and blue-footed boobies kick, flap and squawk their way through their courting two-step. This carnival-esque parade of creatures is what makes the Galapagos Islands one of the world’s most fascinating and charming adventure destinations.

Itinerary

Travel to Quito and spend free time exploring the many delights on offer in this dynamic capital city. Ecuador’s history and culture is on show at every turning point, so it’s easy to soak up the sights of churches, cathedrals and Spanish colonial architecture.
Build the anticipation of the Galapagos adventure ahead with a flight to Baltra. Switch transport modes and hop aboard the yacht – home for the next few days. Enjoy a leisurely cruise to Isla Mosquera, where virgin white sands tempt explorers. Encounter the famously tame sea lions for the first time, and breathe in the fresh Galapagos air.
A challenging trek to the top of the volcanic hill awaits at Punta Pitt. Get those legs moving, and get a bird's-eye view of the wildlife and landscapes below. This is one of the best hiking trails in the entire archipelago, and offers great opportunities to encounter some of the Galapagos’s famous flora and fauna.
Cruise around to the shoreline of Cerro Brujo, where another pristine beach lies in wait for adventurers, enticing them with its powdery sands and the gentle lapping of the Pacific along its edge. Enjoy some relaxation time on the beach, or scope out the iconic blue-footed boobies as they dance the ‘booby two-step’ with their mate.
Uncover the "world within itself", that Darwin uncovered when he arrived on the Galapagos Islands, at the Charles Darwin Station. After an incredible wildlife adventure through the islands, return to the distant mainland for a final night in Quito.
