Day 1 Quito

Arrive in Quito, where the charm and history of old-world Ecuadorian architecture blends seamlessly with stylish cafes, bars and shops.

Day 2 Baltra/Isla Santa Cruz

Fly to Baltra and set sail to the small town of Puerto Ayora. Learn about the Galapagos’ unique wildlife at the Charles Darwin Research Station.

Day 3 Isla North Seymour/Isla Mosquera

An early morning excursion to the rocky coast of North Seymour will pass through colonies of animated blue-footed boobies and frigatebirds. Then, visit the small sandy island of Mosquera, where crazy-looking Sally Lightfoot crabs inhabit the rocks and tide pools.

Day 4 Isla Santa Cruz

Visit the mangroves of Black Turtle Cove and paddle among its peaceful waters. See green turtle, rays and Galapagos sharks a myriad birds and perhaps even mating turtles. Spend the afternoon at Cerro Dragón, one of the best places to see land iguanas.

Day 5 Isla Rabida

The colourful sands and cliffs of Rabida are home to a wide array of native wildlife. Spot nesting pelicans, flamingos, pintail ducks, marine iguanas and sea lions among the huge number of birds on show.

Day 6 Isla Santa Cruz/Baltra/Quito

Explore the sandy, white beaches of Las Bachas, where Pacific green turtles often nest and marine iguanas are plentiful. Perhaps spend some time snorkelling here – the underwater world is as impressive as what is above the water. It’s then time to say goodbye to the Galapagos and fly back to Quito.

Day 7 Quito

Enjoy a final breakfast in Quito before saying ‘adios’ to this exciting Galapagos Explorer adventure.
