Day 1 Quito
Make yourself at home in the Ecuadorian capital, perhaps with a coffee at any number of the city's attractive plaza cafes.

Day 2 Baltra - North Seymour
Brave an early start for a flight out to nature's own isles. Circle Daphne Island by boat and survey its peculiar volcanic landscape, keeping eyes peeled for blue-footed and masked boobies, terns and petrels. Go a walk across North Seymour and spot swallow-tailed gulls and both species of frigate birds, before going for a swim amidst a great variety of sea-life.
Day 3 Isla San Cristobal
Visit a sizeable colony of sea lions at Isla Lobos. Watch Sally Light foot crabs and marine iguanas scuttling over the lava terrain and perhaps spot the Yellow Warbler. Take to the water in one of the Galapagos' best snorkelling spots in search of Galapagos sharks and sea turtles.
Day 4 Isla Espanola
Log up some lazy beach hours on Gardner Beach in the company of California sea lions and Hood Mocking birds. Head to the island of Española – the southernmost in the Galapagos archipelago and an absolute paradise for bird-spotters.
Day 5 Post Office Bay /Isla Floreana
Head to shore for a stroll along the olive-green sands of Punta Cormorant. As well as being the best place to spot Galapagos Sea Lions, this island's lagoon is host to a healthy population of pink flamingos, its sands are a nesting site for Easter Pacific Green Sea Turtles and Diamond Sting Rays populate the shoreline.
Day 6 Charles Darwin Station/Isla Santa Cruz
Drop into the Charles Darwin Research Station in Puerto Ayora and learn about the island's natural history and continued preservation. Venture into the Santa Cruz Highlands and encounter giant tortoises, the myriad species of Darwin finches and perhaps even vermillion flycatchers. Fly back to the Ecuadorian mainland for a final night in Quito.
