Fly to Baltra and set sail to the small town of Puerto Ayora. Learn about the Galapagos’ unique wildlife at the Charles Darwin Research Station.

An early morning excursion to the rocky coast of North Seymour will pass through colonies of animated blue-footed boobies and frigatebirds. Then, visit the small sandy island of Mosquera, where crazy-looking Sally Lightfoot crabs inhabit the rocks and tide pools.

Visit the mangroves of Black Turtle Cove and paddle among its peaceful waters. See green turtle, rays and Galapagos sharks a myriad birds and perhaps even mating turtles. Spend the afternoon at Cerro Dragón, one of the best places to see land iguanas.

The colourful sands and cliffs of Rabida are home to a wide array of native wildlife. Spot nesting pelicans, flamingos, pintail ducks, marine iguanas and sea lions among the huge number of birds on show.

Take a dip in balmy waters in the idyllic cove of Punta Carrion, or get twitching and look out for the famous blue-footed boobies.

Admire the turquoise waters surrounding the largest island in the archipelago. Formed by five gigantic volcanic craters, this landscape borders on the magical.

Step ashore at Punta Cormorant, where an exquisite beach is a popular stomping ground for the Galapagos sea lions.
