Spend the day exploring the streets and people-watching in the vibrant, historical town of Quito. In the evening, perhaps get acquainted with the rest of your group over a traditional meal.

Day 2 Baltra/Isla Santa Cruz

Learn about the Galapagos’ unique wildlife at the Charles Darwin Research Station.

Day 3 Isla Santa Fe/Isla Plaza Sur

Watch marine iguanas sunning themselves on the sand in preparation for a dip in the ocean on Isla Sante Fe.

Day 4 Isla Espanola

A twitchers’ paradise, stroll along Espanola’s winding paths and witness almost the entire world’s population of waved albatross.

Day 5 Isla San Cristobal

Pass through the waters surrounding the impressive Leon Dormido - or Kicker Rock- that juts out of the waters off San Cristobal Island.

Day 6 Isla San Cristobal

Visit the Galapagos Interpretation Center and learn about the history, geography and wildlife of the archipelago.

Day 7 Isla Bartolome

Explore the otherworldly, volcanic landscapes of Bartolome. Witness the much photographed Pinnacle Rock and hike to the top of a once-active volcano to enjoy superb views across to Sullivan Bay.

Day 8 Isla Santiago

Visit the idyllic Espumilla Beach, which is covered in remarkable lava formations, and make the journey to the infamous pirate hangout of Caleta Bucanero (Buccaneer Cove). Then, wander along the black-sand beach of Port Egas that is often covered in marine iguanas, California sea lions and Galapagos fur sea lions.

Day 9 Isla Santa Cruz/Baltra/Quito

Spend the morning snorkelling at Bachas Beach before flying back to Quito, where an overnight stay offers one last chance to explore this fascinating city.
