Spain is not one country but many. One day you’ll be in Andalucia discovering Spain's Arabian influence, and the next you could be listening to bagpipes in Celtic Galicia. Go to Madrid and join the locals for 'tapas, siesta and fiesta'. The most sophisticated will enjoy cosmopolitan Barcelona. The thing we are truly proud of is our amazing festivals. You can run with the bulls in the San Fermines (or better still, watch the local experts do it!), join a tomato-throwing war in La Tomatina and dance flamenco for a whole week in the different 'ferias'. In Spain you can also find relaxation - lying on a white sand beach, walking by sunflower fields or the spiritual meditation of Santiago de Compostela’s pilgrims' way. A museum with giant eggs on top

Always a fan of Salvador Dali, I made the journey up from Barcelona to his museum in Figueres, only to be met by this weird red fortress building with several giant eggs on top. The most interesting museum I have ever been to with lots of the artists early sketches as well as his more famous stuff - don’t miss it!
