Arrive in Havana, Cuba’s vivacious, fun-filled capital. Head out on an orientation walk of the city. The crumbling colonial buildings, street-side baseball games and classic old cars will make you feel as if you've stumbled onto a 1950's movie set. For fantastic views of the city against its ocean backdrop, take a short cruise across to the Cabana Hill Fortress.
Drive through an exotic landscape of cane fields, tobacco plantations and swaying palm tress on the way to Vinales. Before arriving in this sleepy rural town, stop for a splash in a waterfall near Soroa. In the evening, watch as thousands of bats stream out of the limestone caves on a tour of the picturesque Vinales Valley.
Settle in for a day in the saddle, travelling along the badlands of the Zapata Peninsula to Playa Larga. Learn about the failed 1961 Bay of Pigs invasion on a museum visit before spending the night at a stunning beachside location.
Spend the morning snorkelling among colourful fish off the coast of Caleta Buena or basking in the nearby natural rock pools. Travel to Cienfuegos, a city of elegant French architecture.
Soak up the amiable atmosphere of Cuba’s best-preserved colonial town, declared a World Heritage site in 1988. Amble along Trinidad's cobblestone streets to the Plaza Mayor, learn about the city's past at the local museum, or take a daytrip to Cayo Blanco for a dip in the azure waters of the Caribbean. In the evening, why not check out a local music or salsa performance.
Visit the Che Guevara mausoleum and museum in Santa Clara and see his legendary beret and leather jacket. Get acquainted with Cuba's unique capital on a guided tour in one of its famous vintage cars. Perhaps head to the white sands of Varadero for some final beach time before this fun-filled family adventure finishes up.
