Family Croatia Discovery Itinerary

Travel to Dubrovnik in Croatia and settle in at the picturesque town of Cavtat. It's the perfect base for the adventures ahead and a lovely place to explore, hang out on the beach together or try some spoils of the sea at a seaside restaurant.

Paddling around the coast and islands of Dubrovnik is such a unique and relaxed way of seeing this beautiful part of the world. Start the adventure with a sea kayak lesson and build confidence paddling along the divine local beaches of Cavtat. Jump back in the paddling seat on day three and glide the smooth Adriatic waters to Kolocep Island. There's lots of sightseeing to do, beaches to swim at and things to see from under the water. Enjoy a family dinner back in Cavtat and a stroll along the delightful promenade. The next day it's off to Lopud Island by ferry. A wonderful playground for kids and adults alike, spend an enjoyable day exploring fruit groves, wandering the stone-built villages or relaxing on the beaches. Swap sea legs for cycling legs on day five and head out to the picturesque Konavle Valley for a cycling adventure through streams and fields of fruit trees. The next day it's back on the water exploring Dubrovnik's city walls how marauders from the middle ages would have seen it. Then either paddle to the stunning Betina Cave, which can only be accessed from the sea, or further explore one of the close-by islands. On the last full day in Dubrovnik, spend time as the family pleases. Wander the cliff-top paths along the coast, venture into the heart of Dubrovnik city to wander the cobblestone Old Town and breathtaking city walls, or simply relax on a beach and let the kids play in the sand and water. Perhaps enjoy a final meal of fresh seafood in one of the beautiful restaurants that overlook the sea.
