Day 1 San Jose

Get to know the spirit of modern San Jose by visiting vibrant markets and walking the busy urban streets of this character-filled city. Use free time to shop, eat, visit museums and chat with locals.

Days 2-4 Puerto Viejo de Talamanca

Catch a local bus to exotic Puerto Viejo de Talamanca. Join an optional visit to Cahuita National Park, which abounds with weird and wonderful wildlife from sloths and snakes to kingfishers and howler monkeys, or grab a board and do some surfing.

Days 5-7 Isla Bastimentos

Cross the border into Panama. Travel to the laidback Bocas del Toro - a beachside haven that has resisted overdevelopment to retain its small town charm. This tropical region on the Caribbean Sea is gifted with coral islands and beautiful beaches so use free time to snorkel or swim in clear, blue waters. Divers will appreciate the amazing underwater beauty on offer off the Panama coast and surfers can take advantage of the awesome waves.

Days 8-9 Boquete

Visit Boquete, a picturesque, peaceful mountain area ideal for simply enjoying the fresh air and spoils of nature. Why not visit a local coffee plantation for an insight into coffee production or sign up for one of the optional Boquete outdoor activities.

Days 10-11 Santa Catalina

Travel to the remote fishing village of Santa Catalina. Surf, fish, snorkel or scuba dive in this unspoilt paradise - there's an abundance of great ways to make the most of the idyllic Catalina area.

Days 12-13 Panama City

Ride on a local bus to Panama City. Enjoy free time to explore a myriad of Panama attractions, or hop aboard an optional tour to visit one of the world's greatest engineering marvels, the iconic Panama Canal, which opened in 1914. As this memorable adventure comes to an end, perhaps mark the occasion with a night on the tiles at a samba club.
