The capital of Costa Rica, San Jose stands at the heart of the country in the fertile Central Valley, where the majority of the Costa Rican population is concentrated.
Days 2-4 Pacuare Lodge
Wake each morning to the sweet songs of native birds and the calming flow of the nearby Pacuare River. In the heart of the natural, emerald-green rainforest, enjoy full meals and high-class amenities. Why not indulge in a therapeutic massage, an invigorating tour of the rainforest's canopy or a horseback ride to the scenic Bajo del Tigre, or learn about traditional cultures on the Cabecar Indian Hike. Spend each night safe and sound in the Pacuare Lodge, lulled to sleep by the nocturnal sounds of the jungle.
Day 5 San Jose
Return to the hustle and bustle of San Jose. Perhaps stay longer to peruse the eclectic Central Market and fully explore the modern architecture of the Costa Rican capital.
