Days 1-2 Beijing

Say “Nimen Hao” to China’s behemoth capital city on a city tour that covers all the highlights - from the Forbidden City to Tiananmen Square, before delving into the city’s hutongs.

Day 3 Jiankou

Get the first glimpse of the epic Great Wall of China, marvelling at the awesome scale of a structure that snakes across mountains and valleys as far as the eyes can see. Explore well preserved sections of the wall and admire ancient watchtowers along the route.

Days 4-5 Gubeikou

Continue onto more remote sections of the wall, and see how Mother Nature has started to reclaim the wall’s crumbling stones. Pass 14 beacon towers, 143 watchtowers and 3 citadels and perhaps climb the wall in the evening to witness a spectacular sunset in the evening.

Day 6 Jinshanling

Follow the wall higher into the mountains and scramble up ridges for unparalleled views over the surrounding mountains.

Day 7 Miyun

Walk along a restored section of the wall toward Simitai, gazing out over the rugged hills and appreciating the incredible manpower that must have gone into creating such a mammoth monument.

Day 8 Huangyaguan

Pass the wall’s largest watchtower and Bagua Castle - which features a labyrinth that was designed to stop invaders. Continue on to visit the East Qing Tombs and impressive Sacred Way before spending the night with a local family.

Days 9-10 Beijing

Return to Beijing - where the adventure ends.
