Itinerary

Arrive in Hong Kong and be captivated by the city's bright lights and energetic vibe. For a little space amid the madness, head to the parks or beaches or scale Victoria Peak for great views over HK. Indulge in a dim sum brunch or shop up a storm at Stanley Market.
Learn about the customs and culture of the Tujia and Miao minorities while in Fenghuang – one of China’s most well-preserved ancient cities. Stroll the atmospheric streets, stopping at local diners, silver shops and historical residences. Visit forgotten sections of the Great Wall on a walk through rice paddies and towering limestone karsts.
Learn some traditional Chinese card games on a scenic train ride through the countryside. Experience everyday Chinese life in Yichang and visit the hydroelectric dam project. Embark on a relaxing boat trip through the panoramic delights of the Three Gorges.
Travel to Chengdu, the capital of the Sichuan province, with its spicy cuisine, countless artisans and lively atmosphere. Take a walk around the city, stopping to admire the giant Mao Zedong statue in Culture Square. Perhaps take a cooking class, pass through Wenshu Temple to mingle with worshippers, or experience the passion and drama of a Sichuan Opera.
Cycle around Hangzhou’s picturesque West Lake, meet giant pandas at a specialist breeding centre and visit a local village to sample some Dragon Well tea. In free time, why not check out the Silk Museum or take a meandering boat cruise along the lake.
Welcome to Shanghai, one of the world's greatest cities. Perhaps wander the Bund, jostle through the Yuyuan Bazaar or peruse ancient treasures in the Shanghai Museum. Enjoy an energetic acrobat show on the last night, a fitting finale to this Chinese adventure.
