Itinerary

With the picturesque Plaza de Armas, thriving cafe culture, eclectic array of shops, booming arts scene and vibrant night-life, Santiago is a fun and rewarding capital to explore and makes for an excellent introduction to South America.
Cross over the Andes into Mendoza, Argentina. Learn about local winemaking on a vineyard tour and take the chance to sample some Malbec wine - the region's signature variety. Enjoy laid-back afternoons in the plaza cafes of the beautiful city centre, then when the sun goes down head for the lively bars and clubs of Aristides Villanueva street.
Head out to a traditional Argentine estancia and learn the skills of a gaucho.
Displaying strong European influences, Buenos Aires is a top spot to shop, dine, drink and celebrate life. Stroll the streets of unique barrios such as colonial San Telmo or Recoleta, home to many interesting museums. The eclectic array of boutiques are an excellent destination for fashionistas and the bars and restaurants will satisfy even the most refined culinary cravings.
Discover the jaw-dropping magnitude of Iguazu Falls, where tropical flowers, colourful butterflies and misty rainbows all add to the magic of this spectacular destination. The mighty roar of the falls is deafening - prepare yourself for nature at its most powerful! Admire the falls from either the Brazilian or the Argentinian side or, for those wanting a different perspective, zip out on a zodiac at the base to witness the pounding deluge from but a few feet away.
There is plenty to see and do in flamboyant, rambunctious Rio de Janeiro. Visit Christ the Redeemer atop Corcovado and admire amazing panoramas of the city, or head to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain by cable car. For some seriously eye-popping sights, head down to the white sand beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema. And what trip to Rio would be complete without a samba boogie? Yes, the only way to truly experience this city is to try to keep up with it.
