Days 1-2 Santiago

From the picturesque Plaza de Armas and its thriving cafe culture, to its impressive museums and eclectic arts scene, Santiago is a city well worth getting to know. Catch a cable car up to Cerro San Cristobal for impressive vistas, then dine and dance the night away in Bohemian Barrio Bellavista.

Days 3-4 Mendoza

Cross the border into Mendoza, the heart of Argentina's wine country. Learn about local winemaking processes on a vineyard tour and sample the region's signature drop, malbec. Enjoy some lazy park or plaza time in this laid-back city or head to the surrounding countryside for any number of adventure sport options.

Head out to a traditional Argentine estancia and learn the skills of a gaucho.

Days 7-9 Buenos Aires

With strong European influences, Argentina's Buenos Aires is a top spot to shop, dine, drink and celebrate life at its most stylish. Stroll the streets of the city's unique barrios (neighbourhoods) such as colonial San Telmo or Recoleta, and tinker with the tango during a lesson. The shops and boutiques are excellent destinations for fashionistas and the bars and restaurants will cater to all culinary cravings. There is no shortage of fun to be had in BA!

Days 10-11 Iguazu Falls

Witness nature's awesome power at the magnificent Iguazu Falls. Tropical jungle, colourful butterflies and sprays of rainbow mist all add to the magic of this spectacle. Take in the action from either the Brazilian or the Argentinean side, or for those wanting the ultimate perspective, board a helicopter for a thrill ride over the top!

Days 12-14 Rio de Janeiro

Prepare yourself for a city that knows no tomorrow. Rollicking Rio, Brazil's ever-beating heart, is waiting for you with open arms - just look to Christ the Redeemer for evidence. Head to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain for sweeping city views, the white sands of Copacabana for some seriously eye-popping people watching or the heaving samba bars for the boogie of a lifetime - cities don't come like this all that often.
