Days 5-6 Bariloche
For those feeling energetic, enjoy the option of a picturesque hike around the base of Cerro Catedral - named so because its peaks resemble towers of a cathedral. Located just outside of the city, the mountain is home to one of the most advanced ski resorts in South America. So depending on the season, this could be the perfect opportunity for snow bunnies to hit the slopes and enjoy some world-class skiing. Bariloche is also home to one of the Lakes District’s most beautiful bodies of water, and the surrounding snow-capped summits make this an arresting destination. After all the activities on offer, why not indulge in a visit to one of the many fine dining establishments in the area, or perhaps try some of the famous chocolates on offer.

Days 7-9 Buenos Aires
Take a trip to Recoleta, a beautiful suburb, home to some of the city’s most interesting museums. A visit to the Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires (MALBA) offers an education in some of Latin America’s most influential and great artists, so put on your art historian hat for the day and have a nose around. After all the soul-satiation and artisitic reflection, satiation of a different kind may be on the cards, so why not head to one of Buenos Aires’ atmospheric bars or eateries to enjoy a nice Argentinian red and a mouth-watering slab of the world’s best steak.
