About Argentina , Brazil , Chile

Chile, Argentina & Brazil Summary

Add to Shortlist

Days 1-2 Santiago

Travel to Chile and become acquainted with its vivacious capital. Spend free time winding through the web of avenues and plazas, search for trinkets in traditional markets or become immersed in Santiago’s bold and brilliant essence amongst the fine dining and dancing of the bohemian Barrio Bellavista.

Days 3-4 Mendoza

Travel to the wine capital of Argentina, Mendoza. A tour of a vineyard provides the perfect excuse to sample some Malbec wine - the region’s signature variety, and learn about the country’s winemaking. Explore the beautiful tree-lined city-centre streets, and relax in laid-back cafés whilst watching the idyllic South American lifestyle in action. Step out in the evening by mixing it up local style on Aristides Villanueva, the vibrant street jam-packed with lively Argentinian bars and pubs.

Days 5-6 Bariloche

For those feeling energetic, enjoy the option of a picturesque hike around the base of Cerro Catedral - named so because its peaks resemble towers of a cathedral. Located just outside of the city, the mountain is home to one of the most advanced ski resorts in South America. So depending on the season, this could be the perfect opportunity for snow bunnies to hit the slopes and enjoy some world-class skiing. Bariloche is also home to one of the Lakes District’s most beautiful bodies of water, and the surrounding snow-capped summits make this an arresting destination. After all the activities on offer, why not indulge in a visit to one of the many fine dining establishments in the area, or perhaps try some of the famous chocolates on offer.

Days 7-9 Buenos Aires

Take a trip to Recoleta, a beautiful suburb, home to some of the city’s most interesting museums. A visit to the Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires (MALBA) offers an education in some of Latin America’s most influential and great artists, so put on your art historian hat for the day and have a nose around. After all the soul-satiation and artisitic reflection, satiation of a different kind may be on the cards, so why not head to one of Buenos Aires’ atmospheric bars or eateries to enjoy a nice Argentinian red and a mouth-watering slab of the world’s best steak.

Days 10-11 Iguazu Falls

Be wowed by the epic Iguazu Falls. View this stunning natural wonder from both the Argentinean and Brazilian sides.

Days 12-13 Paraty

Explore the cobblestone, pedestrian-only streets while taking in the rustic charms of this once-booming port town. Take a boat trip to explore the many beautiful islands dotted throughout the Bay of Paraty.

Days 14-15 Rio de Janeiro

Admire incredible views over Rio on a visit to Corcovado, home to the giant statue of Christ the Redeemer. There's also the opportunity to take an optional cable car to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain. In free time, soak up the atmosphere of this electric city full of character, beauty and energy.
