Travel from South Africa's capital to Botswana and Zimbabwe
This compact but eventful trip crosses three countries and takes in two of southern Africa's most famous sites - Kruger National Park and breathtaking Victoria Falls. Encounter lions, leopards, zebras and giraffes while travelling on safari through landscapes blessed with breathtaking natural beauty. From bustling Johannesburg in South Africa through beautiful, vast Botswana to colourful Zimbabwe, this African adventure is big on excitement and will be sure to thrill.
Kick things off with views of the Blyde River Canyon and the Three Rondavels – an amazing introduction to Southern Africa.
Camp within the grounds of Kruger National Park under the African night sky. You'll be right up close to the sounds of the wild, perhaps the roar of a lion, as you drift off to sleep.
Experience the rumble and roar of Victoria Falls from the Zimbabwe side, which gives you the broadest view of its phenomenal torrent.
On this trip you will be accompanied by 3 crew members - Group Leader, Driver and a camp assistant. Your Camp Assistant is responsible for setting up camp and preparing your meals so you can take extra time to relax at the end of your day.
Camping beds/stretchers are provided for most camping nights to provide an extra level of comfort.
Game-viewing in Africa means getting out of bed early. But the excitement of spotting your first lion or rhino is well worth the early start!
Accommodation on Day 4 is a farmstay at a working cattle ranch outside Mokopane, so be ready for some real rural experiences. Facilities are basic here.
Our purpose-built overland vehicles allow for excellent game viewing, equipped with large sliding windows. They have no air-conditioning, however, so they can get dusty and hot at times.
The going can be slow over the long distances and often bumpy roads. A little bit of patience will go a long way towards your enjoyment of this beautiful land!
1. A single supplement is available on this trip. Please speak to your booking agent for further information.

The trip was well organized and the whole group had a great time! Campsites were clean and safe, the cooking was fabulous and we got to experience local people and the beautiful landscape and animals of Southern Africa. In winter (May) it can get very cold at night (one night it was freezing), you should bring warm clothes and warm sleeping bags.

If you want to see the "Big five", love camping, enjoy early starts, and don't mind travelling for hours on roads of varying quality, this is the trip for you. If not, you may have to consider a comfort level tour. Otherwise the sacrifices are worth it. (However air conditioning in the truck would be a highly recommended upgrade. If the weather had been much warmer it would have been very uncomfortable.... just say'n.)
