Arrive in Calgary, one of the fastest growing cities in Canada’s west. Perhaps arrive early to the historic town and experience Calgary’s fun and energetic atmosphere.
Drive through the prairies and set up camp in the midst of the Canadian Rockies. Embark on day hikes around the emerald Lake Louise, visiting a prestigious chateau, catching a glimpse of Victoria Glacier and reaching the foot of the Plain of Six Glaciers. On the final day, embark on a spectacular loop of the Rockies, climbing Larch Valley for great views of the surrounding region before descending via the aptly named Paradise Valley.
Hop over to British Columbia and into Yoho National Park. Hike up to the ice line from Takakkaw Falls, passing between glaciers and ascending through the tree line for spectacular views of Yoho Valley.
Tip-toe along the awe-inspiring Icefields Pathway – one of the most spectacular drives in the world. See fields of wildflowers on a walk to Cavell pond, admire the deep limestone gorges of Maligne Canyon and climb the Bald Hills for great views of the Queen Elizabeth Mountain Range.
Explore the popular Banff resort, soothing weary muscles in hot-springs or taking a cable car ride to the summit of Mt Sulphur. The next day, follow an old logging trail on a hike beneath the Robertson Glacier.
Travel on the highest paved road in Canada, picking up some delicious Longview Beef Jerky before reaching Waterton Lakes National Park. Explore the caves, coves and canyons of this unique landscape and try to spot some of Canada’s famous wildlife.
Stop by a native American cultural sight before ending the adventure back in Calgary.
