Secrets of Angkor Summary

Add to Shortlist

Day 1 Siem Reap/Angkor Wat

A vibrant nightlife, mouth-watering food, a time-worn French feel and certain famous temples on its doorstep - Siem Reap is a little town with a big, pulsating heart. Immense, awe-inspiring, extraordinary - the Angkor Wat temples are all this and much more. Built in the 12th century, this former Khmer city is nothing short of spectacular.

Day 2 Siem Reap/Banteay Srei

Much more than the gateway to the Angkor temples, Siem Reap has a rich cultural heritage spanning many centuries and a charming, laidback atmosphere. Banteay Srei is a temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. Built in the 10th century, it consists of three rectangular enclosures and is incredibly ornate.

Day 3 Siem Reap/Tonle Sap

Siem Reap, once a collection of small villages, is now a vibrant town full of great food, relaxed bars, beautiful countryside and cultural gems. Tonle Sap is a significant lake and river system that feeds into the Mekong in Cambodia's dry season and forms a large lake during its wet.
